CHICAGO, IL

you should know that i have always wanted to hit up chicago. why? because it's a cool city and i'd never been there. you should also know that i have the best boyfriend, which will be apparent by the end of this post.

the first weekend in november my boyfriend drove to KY to visit me at school, but sawyer had more in mind than exploring louisville on saturday. we left the school at 5am and i was told to bring a dress. sawyer took me to chicago for the day! it was a 5.5 hour drive, but we made it there in good time and got our day going early.
it was the best date of my life and i am still so shocked and grateful he took me so far for one day. we spent the day exploring the cool city of chicago and it was a total blast. i also rented a lens for the entire weekend which was near perfection. here are some shots from the best date with the best guy!

                      

honestly, these pictures don't do justice what that day meant to me and how awesome it was -- these are just snippets!
as i reflect back on that day, i realize that if i would have done it with anyone else it would not have been half as fun. we walked 12+ miles that day and really just soaked up the city feel. when the sun set, we grabbed our bag of clothes from the parking garage, slipped fancy clothes on in a starbucks bathroom, i put a little mascara on, and then he surprised me with reservations at a ritzy italian restaurant. we drove back to louisville, arriving at 2am. that first saturday in november was a dream. i love you sawyer, thanks for incredible memories..
