"Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'”
Matthew 28:16-20
support letters. bake sales. car washes. prayers of faith. crazy God stories. this is what i anticipate as i gear up for my first trip to Africa in june. i can't find a word that fully encapsulates my excitement about going, and what will spring up in the process of getting there and actually being among the Africans in Kenya upon arriving.
it may seem too early to start preparing for something happening in the summer, but i believe that i play a part in fundraising just as much as God sovereignly provides through his people. i will live by faith, but i will not be lazy.
above is photos of my current status: the Africa booklet is a really neat tool that acts as my guide for support. oftentimes, supporters like to know where their money is going and how they are specifically funding me; with this booklet, that is made simple. any donor can easily pick what they want to fund and how much. once that red ring is bare, i know that i have reached my goal and that each tab is in the hand of a prayer warrior.
the last picture is already a glimpse of how God is going to provide for this Africa trip -- i found $100 tucked underneath my booklet in my car by a super sweet friend and mom that i babysit for. it humbled me and reminded me of Christ's love through His people. i am so STOKED to have more stories, similar to the one above, to share!
ultimately my greatest desire thinking about this trip is to have believers praying for me consistently. prayer is powerful, and not because of the people who speak them, but because of our God who answers them according to his perfect will. secondly, i am praying for hearts that want to be a part of Christ's ambassadors in Kijabe, Kenya. will you consider (through prayer) supporting me prayerfully/financially? i am grateful beyond words in advance.
with His love,
Perrin
Excited for this opportunity the Lord has provided for you! Can't wait to see all that he does in and through you.
