over the course of the summer, my inner bookworm nature came alive. i constantly found myself sitting quietly, pen/highlighter in hand, ready to go king-kong on every page of every book. i have this weird thing that i can't go onto the next sentence if the preceding one was worthy of underlining. strange, i know; needless to say, this phenomenon happened over and over again. because of the traveling and wedding festivities and classic busy summer days, i didn't get to read as many as i could have, but i learned so much from those that i did read.
-radical by david platt - a must read for every christian. seriously go buy it if you don't already! it set a fire deep in my soul for the gospel.
-don't waste your life by john piper - of course anything piper will be fantastic; but, this really made me realize that anytime, anywhere in life, i can be fulfilling my purpose and time on earth to glorify God.
-faithmapping by daniel montgomery and mike cosper - i am currently in the process of reading this one.. so far, so good!
-dug down deep by joshua harris - oh man. this one nailed it on the HEAD. i learned so much about the theology that i know and believe. i strongly recommend reading this because it answers common questions asked by unbelievers. i'm more confident in the truths of the Word, woooo! thanks joshua harris!
i so wish i could've read more convicting and intellectual books like these, but my current obsession is still happening and will keep happening, i am sure. overall, i am so grateful for the pages of words bind by covers that did make it into my hands. now, get to reading, friends!
