today, august 8, i present a challenge to my readers. in james 1:19, we are told as believers in Christ to be quick to listen slow to speak, and slow to anger. this verse popped up in my devotion one morning last week, and i couldn't pass it up to challenge myself with. a challenge is tough, yes, but always produces fruitful labor. in this sense, when we strive to do these three things mentioned above, we are becoming more Christ-like. this a good thing, fellow brothers and sisters. and if you are not a child of the Most High and you're reading this blog, it still applies to you too. it doesn't end there though, if you don't know Christ as your Lord and Savior, today - right now, whether you're doing laundry, about to go running, or sitting in an office - commit your life to the God of the universe. it's the most important thing you can ever do in this life.
with james 1:19 ringing in my ears for over a week now, i decided i just couldn't keep it to myself. let's partake in this challenge together, friends.
