g r a n o l a

My liking towards the yogurt-granola combination has grown immensely lately. It's gotten to the point where I eat it every single day quite a lot... I'm not ashamed though!

When searching for a good granola recipe on the web, I was slightly overwhelmed as there are "the best granola ever" recipes splattered all over the page. It really bothered me not knowing which one to follow (they can't all be the best, ok people)! One of my dear friends - also a granola fanatic - mentioned she had found a super tasty recipe that I should try; so I did! I just made this last week and meant to post it sooner, but I've been pulled so many directions lately I just couldn't find the time. Anyways, like I said, I made it last week, and, well, it's already gone. Needless to say, it's scrumptious. So, I thought I would share this same recipe with my readers!

Yay, recipe!

First, you need to get your ingredients out and ready!
One stick of butter, one cup of honey, one cup of coconut oil, eight cups of oats, nuts, salt, cinnamon, and a little vanilla extract will do it.
Now, I switched up the steps a little and went ahead and mixed together my dry ingredients, just so that they would be ready.
In a large bowl, combine the oats, nuts, salt and cinnamon together.

Crank that stove on and melt together the butter, honey and oil. Let it boil for one minute, then after the boiling stops, add vanilla.
Since you already have the dry mixture ready (yayay!), pour the sauce over that and cover well.

Next, place on a greased or foil-covered pan and put in the oven at 375 degrees for roughly 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to produce an even bake throughout the entire batch.
Because we have a wacky oven, my granola took a bit longer than it suggested; you really just want it to be a nice golden-brown color.
Let it cool and then store in an airtight container.

I apologize for not having a "finished product" picture. I really wanted one, but was so engrossed in eating it that I totally forgot, oops.
I really hope you try this recipe because you will love it!

Enjoy that granola - NOM NOM.

  1. Yeah! Love me some granola. This seriously is my favorite recipe. Actually I haven't tried any other recipe than this one because it is soooo good! Speaking of granola and empty containers, I need to go make some! I was totally going to share this recipe on my blog. Would it be too copy cat to do it too?
