the calendar says it's only 32 days until my brother's wedding, and i can hardly believe it! the church family says they want to host a wedding shower for braden and kari, and i can agree.
so, we all gather on a chilly saturday morning in a home that i promise is straight from a pottery barn magazine. ladies from church gradually trickle in as the morning progresses, bearing gifts and smiles, and i think to myself, "this is just how a church Body should operate"
"...every member joining in the celebration of newness, providing encouragement and support, and lavishing their generosity to this engaged couple." it's in these times of being physically surrounded by other believers that we, as closely as possible, experience the love of Christ to us. even then, His love surpasses our ability to comprehend, to imagine, to grasp...
still, i inevitably sense that Love and my heart beats with gratitude on that saturday morning, as those who love the Lord, love kari too.
