PRODUCTS WITH A PURPOSE

you may remember in a previous post that my sister and brother-in-law moved to california back in july. they work with a ministry, san francisco city impact, that "exists to intervene." the goal of the ministry is to reach the lost of san francisco in three major ways: relief, rehabilitation, and development (to ensure poverty doesn't repeat). the work of those that are serving at city impact is quite astounding.
a branch of this ministry is TLMADE; city impact supports this social enterprise. TLMADE acts a community-based business, creating quality products and generating job opportunities for the massive amount of homeless. their focus is discipleship through relationships by producing artful work, in hopes to transform the Tenderloin community, while maintaining a steady business. you can say TLMADE is my favorite.
like i said, hayley and matt both serve/work with city impact; so, when they came home for christmas they were so generous as to board TLMADE products on their plane. and give them to me. oh, how i love them.

i completely love the simplicity of their work, and the reason for it: "a social enterprise centered on creating jobs & building community through work & art all within the tenderloin district."
i encourage you to research their site and city impact's, maybe the Lord wants you to serve there/donate. for me, for now, i will continue to obsess over TLMADE's products.
