GOOD READS

lately, i've found myself completely lost in the richness of books and what they are capable of doing to the soul. sound familiar? well, let me assist in that occurrence by recommending some awesome reads that have made it into my hands recently...

Keep a Quiet Heart by Elisabeth Elliot: i cannot express my gratitude for the gift of this book. i learned so much about my sinful self and how i need to constantly be fixed on conforming my life to Christ's. if every woman (and men, there are some good chapters for you guys, too) read this book, i think the world would be a better place. i put off reading the last "chapter" for a few days, because frankly, i just didn't want to be done with it. this is definitely a book i will read through again and again.

The Attributes of God by Arthur W. Pink: where to begin...this book has nearly brought tears to my eyes, as i recognize the vastness of my God; our God. he is awesome and Mr. Pink does a heck of a job putting words to God's majesty. each word, each sentence, each paragraph displays Pink's goal of being intentional in his writings, causing the chapters to be perfect in length. i have learned to always stand in awe of fill-in-the-blank-with-everything-outstanding God (i even referenced this book here). you may need a dictionary in hand, but i want everyone to read this.

A Chance to Die by Elisabeth Elliot: once again, miss elliot strikes again. i'm only in chapter 13 of this book, but good grief, reading of people submitting to God in obedience is incredible to say the least. i don't have a huge headway into this read, but that that i do have i can say started off a little slow; but, keep reading. you won't be disappointed as Amy Carmichael's life shows God's sovereignty all over. thankful for elisabeth elliot's God-given gift of writing.

that is all i have going now, friends. i'm looking forward to more books coming my way once these are complete. what can i say, i'm a bookworm in the making!
