A PRAYER

Heavenly Father; Lord of Hosts; God over the universe...Father I come to you in complete adoration of Your being, Your power, Your goodness to me all the time...
Lord, even though it is hard to deal with my sin, that is when I see You in all of Your glory. So Father, I pray that you would expose me all the more to my sinfulness so that I can see Your Greatness with clarity and humility. Father, forgive me for distancing myself from you by committing sin left and right. I confess, Lord, that oftentimes I love myself, sin and the things in this world more than You...I am so sorry Father. God I am guilty for clinging to what I can do, tighter than what You have done and can do...forgive me for being a rebellious, difficult child. Father, I pray Lord that You, by your powerful Hand and Holy Spirit, would break me. Lord, shatter my pride by whatever means needed to make me "meek and lowly in heart" (Matthew 11:29), like Your Son. I am sinful to the core, yet You love me the same...
God, THANK YOU for sending the Son of God to earth, taking on human flesh yet living a perfect life, taking on every past, present and future sin of mine to the Cross and nailing it to that tree. My heart beats sounds of gratefulness as I bask in my salvation, only made possible by Christ. I can't seem to utter my deepest praise for Your choosing of me. Father, thank you for loving me with a constant and rich-in-passion way. I don't deserve it. "Deserve" shouldn't even be in my vocabulary. Simply, I praise You for family and bringing all of us together again this Christmas. Thank You for friends - they convict me. God, I praise You for this weather, because You ordained it and it's my favorite kind. Specifically in this moment, thank you for being my provider, supplying all "need according to [Your] riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19), and even waay beyond my needs. The amount of babysitting jobs I have had and the way you supplied 3 in an hour yesterday is mind-boggling. You are awesome...
And Father, You are omniscient. You know all things, including my financial needs for school. God I ask that you would show me a physical sign of provision. One that strengthens my trust in You and enables me to cling in trust to Your sovereignty. God, You know that I need a lump sum of money for Boyce and You already know if I will attain that amount. Lord please grant me motivation to work hard for You to save money.  Please give me an eagerness to seek job opportunities even when the situation looks financially hopeless. God You're big, so I pray big. And if it is Your will that I stay here instead of move to Kentucky, Father I pray that you would start preparing my heart, because I am currently stoked about attending next fall. I absolutely love Your Word and the fact that I have it to read and study and see Christ. Father, I want to be more like Christ and less like sinful Perrin, for Your glory alone...
And it is in Jesus Christ's holy, precious, blood-shed, all-saving Name alone that I pray - Amen.
