There is more good news, yes!
So, I sent out support letters a few months ago, trying to avoid asking family for money because it seems that that's always the case. Well, it wasn't a huge success, so I decided to get my family involved! What a blessing that was. Over the past two weeks, I have gotten a letter with a check and an encouraging note in the mail almost everyday. In other words, I am nearing the end of my goal with only two fundraisers left! Wow. God is so loving and gracious - I'm seeing that so much more lately. Or maybe it was there all along and I just wasn't seeing it with thanksgiving.
I know and have been told that God is going to do so many things on this trip and that I am going to learn so much, but I already see that happening just through the preparation. The Lord is so kindly revealing to myself sin and weeds in my heart. Experiencing His grace in such a real way has made me realize a lot of things about Him and a lot of things about myself. It has humbled me in a strong way, leaving me on my knees constantly.
The Lord is good.
Gracious Father, thank you for revealing my ugly, sinful heart to me in a way that has made me more in love with You.
